New Nissan 350Z

This is one sporty looking car I tell you. You can park this car in my garage, that’s for sure. But it’s sad that it’s not something that you would get to see on the roads on a regular basis. But nevertheless let me fill you in the hot scoop of this immaculate wonder, we call, the new Nissan 350Z.

Nissan is known to have some great looking concept car’s under their belt and it’s no wonder that they keep bagging awards after awards through their models. Currently on a roll with the awards, the new Nissan 350X, has just bagged the award for the Japanese performance car of the year 2007. This award comes after much competition over rivals like Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Evo IX and Mazda RX8, just to name a few.

What the people at Nissan did was, they added a more powerful, a sort of next-generation engine, touched it up with a revised style and matched it with great looking colours. At the heart of all this is their award winning engine - VQ35HR. Nissan engineers spent nearly 80% in redesigning the parts and the result - improved acceleration and overall power.

Currently the the new 2007, Nissan 350Z has a maximum power output of 308bhp, rising up from their previous 296bhp. Peak torque has also risen from their previous 353Nm to 358Nm. This of course has increased the overall maximum speed to 7500rpm, an increase of 500rpm from the older model.

What is included as standard is a rather long list but just to tingle your curiosity, the standard feature includes a composite carbonfibre drive-shaft, traction control system, viscous limited-slip rear differential, electronic drive-by-wire throttle, dual outlet exhaust and also a vehicle dynamic control (VDC). For those who just love to be in-control of their speed, there is an optional 5 speed automatic transmission which comes with a manual mode and Downshift Rev Matching (DRM) is available.

And in the interior’s you would be able to find heated leather sports seats, automatic climate control air-conditioning, a 240watt Bose sound system complete with seven speakers which includes a subwoofer, plus the adding of a 3-bay gauge cluster for oil pressure, voltmeter and a trip computer.

Trust me, this mean machine has got some mean power under it’s hood and you’ll be able to realise it in slightly over five seconds because that’s how fast it reaches to the 60 miles per hour mark.

And after you’ve taken it for a spin and finally decide to park it, don’t forget to bring along that glass cleaner, because there’s bound to be a whole load of fingerprints on the driver’s window !!
