Window tinting is said to be one of the most popular modifications made to cars. At present people are slowly beginning to understand why tinting their windows is not just a good idea to protect their car interior but also to protect themselves from dangerous UV rays.

Riding in a striking black or red mobile is stunning. What commands more attention to it though is the perfect mobile window tinting I’ve had done recently. This automobile window tinting is undoubtedly a splendid feature in one’s car. Aside from turning heads, a glass window tinting protects you from the sun’s damaging UV rays and maintains your privacy. What’s more, it would be impossible for prying passersby to spy on your precious belongings through an auto glass window tinting. It would do you good if you invested on a car window glass tinting and you’ll realize why in the long run.

Recently, I went for SS14 Toyota service center to do a polish on my new vios.

That day, I took back my car and found some oily wax inside my windscreen.
So, I just wash it away with some water.

After 2 days, I found out that my windscreen view during night time create alot of glaring. When I looked at the opposite car's light, the glaring effect is so strong and create multiple reflection on my vision.

I suspect that the workshop ppl using wrong material to wash the inner windscreen, hence damaged my tint(3M crystalline tint).

I already try to wash the tint with plain water, but no way to cure the glare ...

Is there anyway to solve this glaring effect??? Or should I make a report to the Toyota Service Center?

Newone @ Unfortunately in your case, you CAN'T install the Toyota Window Tint at Toyota Service Centers. UMW Toyota Service Centers do not sell the Window Tint on a "over-the-counter" basis. This is because, all Toyota Window Tint is currently being installed ONLY at Factory Level, meaning to say that, you can only get it installed when you place orders for their new car.

As for owners who already have the Toyota Window Tint pre-installed in their vehicles and need to get replacements based on defects and such, well, they basically would need to get in touch with their regular Service Advisor personnel and get them to arrange an appointment. This gives time for the personnel from the plant to be present at the relevant branch to do the re-installation.

Bru @ Well, it's basically all up-to-you at the end of the day. Tint prices are very competitive these days, just be wise with your decision. Ask around, see if any of your colleagues have cars already installed with the brand/type the sales rep is promoting. And more importantly, just make sure that the film you decide on, meets with JPJ (Road Transport Department) guidelines.

Also, find out from your car insurer before-hand on whether this particular brand/type of tint can be covered into your policy, as I've heard lately that some insurance companies nowadays are only accepting the inclusion of V-Kool film when you opt for Windscreen Coverage.

Hi Andrew,

It's unfortunate that you had to undergo a situation like this with your brand new car, but I'm hoping that you at least had the replacement costs covered by Insurance.

Yes, that is true, there are "some" : Jiran Anda (central), DMW1 Automotive (Sabah), Inrun Motor (Sarawak), Penang (North) and Temerloh (East); UMW Toyota Service Centers that do not provide the tinting replacement services at the moment. What you could do is get a new film installed at Eco Tint directly, as some reliable sources have disclosed.
