Hi Guy's,

Crystalattice @ Now that you've mentioned it, ya, it does seem like a BMW with a spoiler on the side. My pick on both your choices, I think I would go with the Lancer Evo, for now.

Dsmith @ Now this is something we don't get to see every other day in Malaysia, "pro-am races".

LocalTech @ Can't argue on this, yes, some fans have the same feeling about this too. But, give me the keys and I'll take it home ... anytime :)

I do have to say I'm not into the new look of the Evo's. The old square and wide body gave it a muscular look, but this one just doesn't stand out from the crowd - If you ask me, from the side it just looks like another Mitsubishi Galant.

I just saw a local pro-am race here with two of these Evo's participating in a Porsche series race. To be honest, by appearance only, they looked out of their class in my opinion. However, they held their own on the track.

While neither won or challenged for the win, this had to do more with their drivers than the car I believe. They seemed to adhere to the track better than I would have thought by their appearance and I am sure that these were turbo charged as they accelerated out of the corners well.

While not a car I would buy, I was extremely impressed with their on-track performance.

It looks vaguely like a BMW with a spoiler in the side view. The older versions, especially version VI and below, were more squared off. I've noticed most cars nowadays are starting to look similar, especially if designed for the American market.

I've always liked the Evo and Subaru's WRX since I like rally racing and they are the only rally cars available in the US. I just can't decide which one is better. This new Evo sounds very impressive; I'd like to see how it does vs. a WRX.
