The windshield which is also known as the windscreen, is normally referred to the front window. Today’s modern technology windshields are usually made of laminated safety glass, which is a type of treated glass, consisting two curved sheets of glass in a typical situation, with a layer of plastic laminated between them for added safety. All these make up a windshield/windscreen and are glued into the window frame.
In our daily use, we understand that the windshields/windscreens mainly protect the vehicle’s occupants from wind, extremes of temperature, and flying debris such as dust, rocks/pebbles, and insects, as well as providing an aerodynamically formed window towards the front.
