Toyota Windshield / Windscreen Prices

posted in Updates |

The windshield which is also known as the windscreen, is normally referred to the front window. Today’s modern technology windshields are usually made of laminated safety glass, which is a type of treated glass, consisting two curved sheets of glass in a typical situation, with a layer of plastic laminated between them for added safety. All these make up a windshield/windscreen and are glued into the window frame.

In our daily use, we understand that the windshields/windscreens mainly protect the vehicle’s occupants from wind, extremes of temperature, and flying debris such as dust, rocks/pebbles, and insects, as well as providing an aerodynamically formed window towards the front. UV Coating on these glasses are nowadays a common feature applied to screen out harmful ultraviolet light.

And did you know that your vehicles windshield/windscreen provides up to 30% towards its structural strength! That would logically mean that it could stop you and your passengers being crushed in an event of a rollover. Not only that, please remember that many passenger airbags rely on the windscreen in-order to work properly.

That is how important a car windshield/windscreen is to its occupants. So, the next time you notice your windscreen is chipped, it’s highly important to get it repaired as soon as possible. Because, not only will it distract you from driving, but the longer you put a hold on it, the more likely it is that the damage will eventually spread, and then you’ll end up needing a completely new windshield/windscreen.

So, to help you understand costs incurred for replacing them, here’s a complete guide on the Windshield/Windscreen Prices for all the “current” UMW Toyota models, and as an added bonus, we’ve also listed their Recommended Insurance Values respectively.

Why does the Altis’s windscreen cost so much, RM1,761.75 ? Is it the cost of security film included in?
