Toyota - 2008 July Promotion

posted in Promotions |

The recent fuel price hike has definitely taken its toll on most of our drivers to a certain extent I’m sure. Therefore we are quite pleased to announce that UMW Toyota this time around has released a promotion that incorporates Petronas petrol for the month of July, 2008; targeting fuel price worries and in some way helping their potential new buyers ease the pinch on their wallets, where petrol is concerned.

Nevertheless, if petrol prices are not an issue for you (which is highly unimaginable at this stage), you could still opt for their usual low down-payment schemes that are once again been made available in this months UMW Toyota promo.

So here you have it folks, the promotion for July, 2008 from UMW Toyota for the Malaysian market is as follows :

  • Vios (S, G, E & J) - Low down-payment scheme (Rebate) RM1,500 OR Petronas Prepaid Petrol Card worth RM2,000
  • Yaris (G & S) - Low down-payment scheme (Rebate) RM1,500 OR Petronas Prepaid Petrol Card worth RM2,000
  • Avanza 1.3 (Manual/Auto) - Low down-payment scheme (Rebate) RM2,500 OR Petronas Prepaid Petrol Card worth RM3,000
  • Avanza 1.5 - Low down-payment scheme (Rebate) RM1,500 OR Petronas Prepaid Petrol Card worth RM2,000
  • Innova (All Variants) - Low down-payment scheme (Rebate) RM2,500 OR Petronas Prepaid Petrol Card worth RM3,000

Please take note that this promotion is valid for orders that are placed with UMW Toyota from 1st - 31st July, 2008.

We sincerely hope that the information provided here helps you with your budget calculations and finally assist you in the deciding factor … Happy Buying!

    Hi there Yatie,

Currently, if you want to own a Toyota Wish which comes with 3 year Manufacturer’s Warranty, be able to service the vehicle at any Toyota workshop in Malaysia, a better resale value etc … then only look at the model that’s being sold by UMW Toyota.

And if you have read our earlier review with regards to this model, you would then understand that UMW Toyota gets their 2.0S Wish directly from Thailand, and it’s currently being sold here at RM156,894.70 (O.T.R) - Individual Private registration.

There are times when you find Toyota Wish 1.8 models in town, these are NOT sold by UMW, but instead are sold by some grey dealers (private), like NAZA, Petra Motors etc. These models are usually either from Japan or Australia. Do not be fooled by the origin of model, as there are many other factors (radiator size, fuel compatibility, after-market alarm & audio systems, body-kits etc) that the common person will not be aware of even though the shell of the car looks similar.

As you can see from this post, UMW Toyota has not allocated any special package for their Toyota Wish, But nevertheless, I’ve heard that there are some Sales Advisors that give their “personal rebate” offers that range between RM800 - RM1,000

    Hi 8th Voyager,

It’s nice of you to pay us a visit.

This is currently the “most widely asked” question around town, when VIOS is discussed. Well there’s quite a few differences, to be frank. Here’s a quick run through :

    1) There’s no Alloy Rims, but instead you get 14″ Steel Rims (175/65) with covers.

    2) No Airbag

    3) No Side Moulding on the Doors

    4) No Fog Lamps

    5) An All Black Interior

    6) The same CD/Radio player as Avanza

    7) No Turn Indicators on the two Side Mirrors

8 ) No Electronic Side Mirrors

    9) No Audio/Mode Controller on the Steering

    10) The Steering & Gear Knob is NOT in Leather

    11) Rear Seats are fixed, so, NO 60:40 ratio split

    12) Both Engine Hood & Booth, does not have their Heat and Sound Dampening Sheets

Hi all, I did check out the Vios and I wanted to guy it. But WAIT! Not so fast, lets see how Toyota’s promotion will be for August (Merdeka). I expect them to have the Merdeka promotion so can save more than RM1.5k (as July promo). If August no promo means I will still buy Vios and just too late to grab the RM1.5k July rebate. Feel sick like gambling! OMG… Do anybody know anything about Toyota’s August/Merdeka promo plan?
