It’s only been about 5 months or so since the Concept X6 made its debut, but it’s not stopping BMW from revealing a Sport Activity Coupe set to raise the eyebrows of every car manufacturer in the market with envy. The BMW X6 production version surely redefines our common notion of a coupe as it combines coupe agility for one, and SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) versatility. It’s also no surprise that the BMW X6 production version will be propelled with an all new V8 twin-turbo, which in time, will definitely become a common spec on their upcoming models.
I’m sure that other automakers will have plans of their own to release similar SUV models into the market but given the current time and situation, BMW will undoubtedly be known as the world’s first to bring in such a SUV. In my opinion, the BMW X6 production version seems more like a X6 coupe-crossover. Read the rest of this entry »

Looks like UMW Toyota has picked the right time yet again, to launch another magnificent model - the New Toyota Rush, to compliment their current Malaysian line-up, and since yesterday, bookings were already taking place throughout the country. Officially the 7-seater all New Toyota Rush will be launched into the Malaysian market this coming Friday, 1st of February, 2008 and can be viewed at all UMW Toyota showrooms.
The New Toyota Rush will carry the tag-line - Define Your Lifestyle, as it begins its domination into the entry level SUV market, given the fact on the run-out of Perodua Kembara in Q2 2007. This will be a first for UMW Toyota, as the New Toyota Rush will be a completely-built-up unit (CBU) model direct from Indonesia.
If you love the thrill of city life as much as the great outdoors, the Rush is an SUV tailored just for you. Sleek enough for the cityscape’s, accommodating enough for weekend fun. Read the rest of this entry »

Welcome back to Part II of our update on the all New Toyota VIOS. And as promised, in this post we will see the different angles of the New Toyota VIOS based on its Comfort, Driving Performance and also Safety aspects. I received many emails concerning Part I of our three part focus on this new Toyota creation, and I would like to thank all my readers for their support and take note that I shall be replying all of you in due time. And for those who missed out on our earlier review, complete with photographs and vehicle specifications, you can view them here.
In order to achieve the highest level of driving comfort, you can sense that a lot of work has been put into the creation of the New VIOS by the dedicated Toyota developers as they have allocated a large number of insulators in many portions of the car. This generally will help reduce noise, and once inside occupants can share a quiet cabin for an overall pleasant conversation whilst indoors. Read the rest of this entry »

The hot topic currently in Malaysia, when is the launch of the all New VIOS going to take place? If my sources are right, as they are always, UMW Toyota would be doing a nationwide launch somewhere around the 19th of October 2007. That’s not too far away, so hang on to your buying plans until then, coz this is one stylish sedan worth waiting for. So I’ve decided to come up with a three part post, relating to the updates on the New VIOS and it’s overall model details. You can also read my earlier review on the New VIOS to catch pictures of the vehicle and it’s features.
In this Part I post, you will get to read subjects related to it’s Introduction, Exterior and also Interior details. Part II, will tackle areas relating to it’s Comfort, Driving Performance and also Safety aspects. And finally Part III, subjects relating to it’s Accessories, Specification and it’s Eco friendly features Read the rest of this entry »

Hi guy’s, another new month has begun and the car market should normally pick up momentum around this period given the fact of the upcoming festivals ie; Hari Raya and Deepavali celebrations. UMW Toyota on the other-hand, have their promotion still stagnant from their initial July promo. All these were a major success for them, with sales soaring up throughout their branches, but sadly this has taken a toll on their stock situation and there appears to be lesser models available to attract buyers to get hold of one come Raya.
So, I hope you have loads of good luck trying to source each individual branch to find their stock availability status, prior to your booking. This is the Toyota - September 2007 promotion : Read the rest of this entry »

The new Audi TT Coupe made it’s debut in front of a huge crowd at the Audi Hangar in Glenmarie recently. The event was officiated by it’s Chairman, Datuk Syed Hisham Syed Wazir and Director, Datuk Donald Choo. Mention a sporty compact car and I think of the Suzuki Swift as we’ve always recognized the legendary Suzuki Swift as a great compact car. And even-more-so now with it’s 1.5 box style design added with its sporty demeanor. This definitely helps it earn worldwide appeal and respect. Currently the MK4 model is taking shape around a very unique mindset, which is ultimately, to build a promising Japanese car with Suzuki’s unique DNA in not only compact vehicles but also into motorcycles and have it developed in Europe, drawing inspiration from its people and landscape for today’s global market. And much to their delight, the result’s were well accepted and now we find more cars being lapped up with glee across the globe. Read the rest of this entry »

To all Malaysian car lover’s take note, UMW Toyota has decided to increase their CBU Camry prices. This increase will take effect on Monday, 06/08/2007. Apparently no reasons pertaining to this increase were given given by my source there but I guess it has to do with some increase in production costs back in Thailand.
Sadly this information just came in at the 11th hour and doesn’t give much time for the buyer’s to decide . Anyhow, it still does make a difference for those already targeting to get their Camry from UMW Toyota, by placing an order, latest tomorrow - Sunday, 05/08/2007.
This increase will effect both the current Camry models that are being sold here in Malaysia. The Toyota Camry 2.0E and 2.0G will see an increase of RM2,051 and subsequently, the Camry 2.4V will increase by RM2,450 respectively.

Well, the much-anticipated new 2.5-litre Ford Ranger TDCi 4X4 has finally arrived onto our shores. With the introduction of this model, I’m sure, Ford is hoping to fight lost ground against it’s rivals such as the Mitsubishi Triton and Toyota Hilux.
Focusing on Ranger’s fight back is their all new 2.5-litre, DuraTORQ TDCi common-rail diesel engine. The engine which stands true to its name has an inbuilt twin-cam with 16-valve four-cylinder capabilities offering a class-leading output of 141bhp and 330Nm (toppling Mitsubishi Triton’s 134bhp/314Nm), helping it deliver a 22 per cent better fuel efficiency compared to their previous engine.
