BMW X3

BMW X3

Here we have the younger brother of the BMW X5, sporting a new front face kidney-shaped like grille that enhances its sporty looks, the new enhanced BMW X3 continues to set standards in the visual aesthetics of compact premium SAV’s (Sports Activity Vehicle).

Launched in March of this year in Malaysia, the X3 also sports a redesigned front air-dam and new fog lights. It is surprising though, that the X3 looks like it has a rather low roofline even though it sits on all 17″ alloy rims. Some may find it awkward looking, due to it’s narrow-looking styling that is presented in this model, but then again, it’s a BMW, so expect some superb road holding. Read the rest of this entry »

It somehow has a character that stands out and captivates all car lovers with it’s speed and design. Recently, at Detroits motor show held in January this year, Mitsubishi revealed the production version of the all-new Lancer Evo, which resembled very much like the concept of Prototype X.

Toyota Window Tint

In the past, drivers who were tormented by the scorching heat of the sun would turn to the use of conventional tinted film (which offer token protection) or the more effective BUT blatantly illegal reflective films. So, to overcome this, UMW Toyota in Malaysia has finally realized that there is a high demand for window tint, especially given the fact of our country’s hot climate, all year round. The Toyota Genuine Accessory window tint will be available on optional basis.

In their surveys which they conducted they have noticed that 70 per cent of Toyota customers in Malaysia have a high tendency to install this addition into their new cars. From my sources, it is said that UMW Toyota is targeting to implement this option somewhere middle of this month. So to all prospective Toyota vehicle buyers, this is indeed good news, as there is no longer a need to custom fit this at a outdoor accessory shop, when all this can be included at the point when you place an order at their relevant branches. Mazda2

Zoom-Zoom, sounds like a child playing with his toy car! It’s also funny that Mazda had somehow started using this same expression to launch their first next-generation model - the Mazda6, back in 2002. They somehow wanted to express their love for motion, by using the phrase Zoom-Zoom, as children tend to imitate the sound of an engine in that similar manner. More than just a mere brand slogan for them, Mazda wanted a different and unique approach in describing their ultimate goal: a totally unforgettable driving experience.

Difference of SUV and 4WD

It’s quite common these days that many people confuse themselves with figuring out the difference between a SUV and a 4WD vehicle. I’ve had many encounters of people distinguishing a Honda CR-V as a 4WD (4X4) vehicle or a Pajero as a SUV. Actually there are some logical differences between these two.

But over in America, It’s a norm to distinguish a four-wheel drive as a SUV. Over here in Malaysia, we rather tag the SUV (in short for Sports Utility Vehicle) as a vehicle being used for normal (bitumen) roads with a bit of off-road capabilities. 4WD’s (Four Wheel Drive) are used mainly by the off-road enthusiasts (dirt roads) where certain requirements are most needed, like a higher ground clearance level, comes with dual purpose tyres and a engine that sends equal amounts of drive to all the four wheels. Sony MEX-BT5000

Sony MEX-BT5000

One common feature I noticed in most car buyer’s, is their need to enhance certain characteristics found in their cars. Adding accessories or upgrading them has become a norm. So, I decided to have a section specially catered to such topics, Car Accessories. Being this the first post, what better way to start it off then to share a review of the latest trend these days - Bluetooth. One item that can be associated to this term would be Sony’s very first Bluetooth-enabled car audio player, the MEX-BT5000.

Imagine driving your car whilst listening to the radio and then suddenly the cell phone rings, and you try to answer the call with your attention now drawn on finding the volume controls of the player. Chances are you might manage to answer the call in time, hopefully without endangering other road users out there. So in situations such as this, it would be wise to have a hands-free cell phone and better still, a Bluetooth ear-piece. Read the rest of this entry »

Toyota Wish

Toyota Wish

One car that puts the Toyota design right at the top, would be the Toyota Wish. The Toyota Wish which is sold in Malaysia through UMW Toyota, is fully imported from Thailand. Overall its a modern and sporty looking vehicle with great substance in driving performance, that can cater for 7 persons comfortably or the additional space when needed.

To me, the greatest characteristics found in this great vehicle would be its appealing exterior and interior design that is accepted by most car lovers. Launched first in the year 2003 in Japan and “officially” by UMW Toyota, in May of 2006 in Malaysia. This model has done tremendously well in the market. After having a test drive on the Toyota Wish, you would definitely find it to be some what an outstanding driving experience. Read the rest of this entry »
